SUBJECT: Meeting with the IT Manager from LTC Cyber Consulting

Dear line manager,                                                                                                                                                        After having the opportunity to talk to the IT manager of LTC Cyber Consulting, I have gained a better understanding of the current issues that have been associated with the network infrastructure.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    In the meeting I have been made aware that the company is based in Manchester and operates all over the UK which can affect the connectivity between the file server and the staff. Furthermore, I was made aware that the company currently operates via 8 devices including a printer which all run via wi-fi connections. This can be a critical vulnerability as wi-fi connection can be unreliable and may not be able to withstand such bandwidth this can slow down staff progress and affect their work rate. Moreover, there are 5 hybrid employees which tend to work from home who access the company's server by using a VPN. However, the company currently only owns 10 licenses which restrict the company from expanding their business as they have projects to expand their company throughout Europe. Following the devices Operating Systems, there are 5 laptops currently running on Windows 11, and have one computer running on Windows 10, and the last two computers running on Windows 7. This can introduce multiple issues throughout the company as it can affect staff communication as some computes may not be able to connect between each otherFurthermore, if the OS are not up to date it can introduce vulnerabilities to their devices such as increase risks to data breaches as patches and updated might not be resolved. This can affect the way hybrid staff access their file server and how they communicate with other staff in the company. Moreover, it has been made aware that only HR and IT laptop have the privilege of IPSEC encryption which is good to protect device from breaches. However, other staff do not have encryption which can have an impact on their level of security and the risks of data breaches. This can be crucial as they can be handling clients/costumer data, and it is important to handle such data securely and carefully. (NOT FULLY COMPLETED)
